Major in Electronics

Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology major in Electronics and Information Technology (BSIT – EIT) is a 4-year degree program that deals with the study of utilization of computers and computer software as well as the peripheral devices closely associated with computer-based systems. Its emphasis is on the technology itself more than on the information it conveys. Further, this program builds a basic knowledge of dc and ac circuits. From there, it concentrates on analog and digital electronics and systems. This program is also designed to augment the knowledge of the students covering the control systems including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), analog and digital communication, and microprocessor systems.

While BS in Electrical Engineering deals with the general aspect of design and development of electrical equipment, such as power generators and electric motors, BS Electronics and Communication Engineering, on the other hand, focuses on the study of design and development of Electronic equipment such as semiconductors and transmitters to be used in distant communications.
